An Original Valentine’s Day Surprise

My most original Valentine’s Day surprise happened at least 20 years ago. My beau, at the time, decided to rent a helium tank to blow up 100 red heart-shaped balloons. These balloons covered ever inch of ceiling in my flat and it gave the whole pad a funky red glow. When I finished work that day, I opened the door to my apartment and there he was under a sky of red balloons and a bottle of bubbly in hand. True story! Great Memory! It always makes me smile.
