Hi, my name is Luna; I’ve been asked to talk to you about my trips to the US, so here we go!
First question: How often do you travel to the USA, and why?
Well, I travel to the USA twice a year – more or less – because my boyfriend is American and he lives in California, so I go and visit him.
Second question: Can you tell us about your flight cancellation?
Well, my flight hasn’t been canceled yet; I have a flight to London on the 4th of June, and then I was going to buy the ticket to go to California, but I don’t think it’s likely that my flight will be confirmed nor that I will be able to be admitted to the United States due to the lockdown and the coronavirus situation, so I’ve been trying to get a hold of the airline to no avail at the moment, and I don’t know… Because I might lose my money, I might get a voucher, but it’s just not certain at the moment.
Third question: What three adjectives describe your feelings about this situation and explain why?
First of all, I’m frustrated because I don’t know what the evolution of the situation will be or the solution to it. Second, I am bummed because I will not get to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday nor our anniversary in June so this is the longest we’ve been apart in 3 years and it’s really bumming! Third, I’m hopeful because my boyfriend thinks I’m being too optimistic, and this is just wishful thinking, but I know in my heart that by the end of summer, I will be able to go to the US!
